They are located at 1300 km in the east of Australia and at approximately 9500 km of the American West coast, these islands of dream. I.e. at 11 hours of flight of Vancouver, or at 10 hours and half of Los Angeles. Of volcanic, coral or calcareous origin, hardly a hundred of the 330 islands of the archipelago (there is more than 700 if one counts them with low tide!) are inhabited. The two principal ones, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, alone represent 80 % of the surface of the emerged grounds.
