Called affectionately “the Cape”, the peninsula of Cod Cape counts among the most beautiful estival destinations of New England. The only name of Cod Cape evokes a quasi mythical place. Moreover, this strange peninsula in the shape of folded up arm exerts a fascination to which it is difficult to resist.
Geographical overflight
Cape Cod extends on a hundred from kilometers in the Atlantic Ocean. Its width varies between 1,6 km and 32 km, its narrower part, Outer Cape, being bordered in the east by the natural charms of the Cape Cod National Seashore (CCNS), an entertaining and natural zone created into 1961 which covers 176 km2. The Sandwich Glass Museum presents thousands of coloured parts of glass created at Sandwich between the years 1825 and 1888 per Boston & Sandwich Glass Company. The objects exposed in this museum of world fame are true works of art.
Delicious Hoxie House, older “box with salt” of Cod Cape, marvelously was well preserved. The walls, the vestiges and the guides tell thousand stories on its inhabitants and the life of another time.

The Old Atwood Museums House, built in 1752, is one of the oldest residences of Chatham. Its six parts respect the style of the XVIIIe century, with domestic pieces of furniture and tables, tools and objects belonging at that time and to the history of the city.
North Monomoy and South Monomoy, two islands distinct better known under the single name from Monomoy Wildlife Sanctuary, constitute a stop impossible to circumvent for the amateurs of nature. More than 1 000 ha of dunes, marsh and ponds form a refuge and a migratory stop for nearly 300 species of birds.
Woods Hole
It is Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) which allowed the exploration of the wreck of Titanic, with its ALVINE submarine. Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Exhibit Center recalls the history of the ALVINE submarine, designed in the years 1950 for underwater research. Vid
